The 3rd Annual CT Bike for HOPE is a success
Fundraising for the Event ends 6/21/2016
|The ride had perfect weather. Partly cloudy with a temperature of 65. The afternoon turned chilly but the bands played for 5 straight hours and were terrific. I cannot thank "Electric Rain" and Sketchy & Best enough for their dedication to our charity. I hope they return next year!|
The fundraising for the top 4 prizes still continues until 6/21/2016. Ken Williams is in the lead for the Fuji bike and nobody has stepped up to try and grab the 48 inch wide screen smart TV donated by Best Buy. You need to raise a minimum of $250 to be eligible for the TV's The TV's go to the top $ Hand cyclist and the top $ walker. Let's get going. It will be well worth the effort and it will help our charity provide more services to our patients.
Leslie Morreale was our raffle winner!

One of our superstars, Everett M. is pictured above on the far right. Everett faithfully comes 2 days a week for 2-3 hours each visit. He uses Functional Electrical Bike Stimulation for 45 minutes, Body weight supported treadmill training and Redcord suspension training (shown above as he increases his transfer skills). He has had dramatic improvement in upper body strength, his vascular doctor is amazed at his lower extremity health and has begun to have feeling in his feet (not bad for having a complete T-6 spinal cord injury). Everett also works full time!
